Hollis Old Home Days Pottery DemonstrationSome of the ways Warm Stone Studio makes a difference are . . .

Warm Stone Studio has for several years done pottery demonstrations at the Hollis Old Home Days event.  We hope to continue that tradition giving the local community an opportunity to see in person the beauty of creating in clay.

Empty Bowls

Warm Stone Studio is very pleased and proud to be an annual contributor to the Nashua High South Empty Bowls project.  Students and local potters alike donate bowls that are then sold to benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter.  For more information on this annual event you can visit the NSKS website at http://www.nsks.org.

If you are a local potter and are interested in donating one or more bowls to this annual event please contact Leslie at Warm Stone Studio. We keep a collection all year that gets donated every February and are more than happy to accept donated bowls.

Souhegan High Wintersession

Warm Stone Studio was very excited to participate in Wintersession 2009.  Every year Souhegan High School Sophmores explore all kinds of interesting topics and places to expand their minds and their worlds.  This year 7 creative young adults spent a week at the Picker Building where they dabbled in Pottery, Glass Fusion and Mixed Media Collage.  A wonderful time was had by all.

Update . . . Warm Stone is very pleased to announce that it will participate in the 2010 Wintersession as well.  We are all very excited!!

Grumman Fly In

In February, 2006 we hosted a gathering of New England pilots from the American Yankee Association or AYA.  Though brave enough to defy death by flying through the air at great speeds, somehow a little clay frightened many of these intrepid souls.  There were a few notable exceptions (hoorah Peter & Barbara . . . your pots are ready to be glazed!) and a good time was had by all anyway.
